Watercolor on paper by Misha Chahbazian (1904 – 1976). Was an Iranian artist from Isfahan, known for his brilliantly colored watercolors depicting urban and rural landscapes of Iran against historical and sacred landmarks. He was part of a group of painters known as the Isfahan School of Watercolor or the New Jolfa Painters.
The watercolor “Abé Asque” represents a mountainous landscape, with houses on the rocks, a river and some characters with a donkey.
