Watercolor on paper by Misha Chahbazian (1904 – 1976). He was an Iranian artist from Isfahan, known for his brightly colored watercolors depicting urban and rural landscapes of Iran against historical and sacred landmarks. He was part of a group of painters known as the Isfahan School of Watercolor or the New Jolfa Painters.
The watercolor “Taleghan – Zidacht” represents a costumbrista landscape in the street of a Middle Eastern village, in which its characters carry out their tasks.
