Oil on canvas by Jan Fyt (Antwerp, 1611 – 1661), a Flemish painter who was a disciple of Frans Snyders, and was first his student, and then his assistant, from 1629.
In Flemish painting of the 17th century, a new variety developed within the genre of still life, that of animal painting, whose greatest representatives were Frans Snyders, Jan Fyt and the painter of hunts Paul de Vos.
The oil represents the image of two dogs next to a basket full of fruit and with the head of a cow.
